• WELCOME MEMBERS AND GUESTS.
- Meeting was called to order at 10:08 am by Steve M.
- Woody led the Pledge of Allegiance.
• READING / ACCEPTANCE OF PRIOR MONTH'S MINUTES
- Cheryl B. read the prior month' sminutes, Woody made the motion to accept the minutes as written and Mike B. 2nd it. All members present agreed to accept the minutes as written.
• TREASURER REPORT.
- Cyndy V. read the treasurers report, Woody made the motion to accept and Mike b. 2nd it. All members present agreed to accept the report.
• OLD BUSINESS.
- Steve M. welcomed Terry B. as the new Vice President.
- It was decided that Dan M. and Terry B. would be given the sluices leftover from the Christmas Party.
- The Chapter Events were decided on for the upcomming year.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, February 11th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812. This will be a Pot Luck.
- The Brevard Rock N Gem Club would like to have a speaker from the club do a presentation at one of their meetings.
- The Feburary outing will be on Feburary 18th - Metal Detecting at Ft. Pierce. If you would like to camp, there's a campground at Savannas Recreation Area, 1400 E Midway Rd., Ft. Pierce, Fl 34982. Phone: 1-772-464-7855. They have tent and RV campsites. There will be a cookout at the campgrounds in the late afternoon.

• OLD BUSINESS.
- Presentation for the Brevard Rock N Gem Club. Cheryl emailed the club but hadn't recieved an email back.
- The Feburary outing is Metal Detecting in Ft. Pierce on Feburary 18th. Some of us will be campging at the Savanna Recreation Area and there will be a cookout on Saturday afternoon at the campground.
- There is a Weekly Farmers Market and Craft show every weekend in Port St. Lucie.
- Slucies were handed out to Dan S. and Terry B.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, March 11th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812.
- The March outing is Fossil Hunting at Peace River on Saturday March 18th.
- Terry to check with Josh from the Orange County Public Library reguaring the renting of a room for the Christmas Party this year amd when we may be able to do another Library Presentation.

• OLD BUSINESS.
- Presentation for the Brevard Rock N Gem Club. Still no response.
- The Feburary outing was Metal Detecting in Ft. Pierce on Feburary 18th. There were 4 members that made it. The beach renewal in Jetty Park was starting.
- Library Presentation - Steve contacted Josh, Josh is leaving that position and will let us knowwho the new contact person is that is replacing him.
- Terry is looking into renting the Pavilion or a room at the Library for the Christmas Party.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, April 13th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812. This is a potluck.
- The next outing is on March 18th - Fossil Hunting in the Peace River, Wachula, FL. at 9am. We will be meeting at the Walmart at 1484 US-17, Wauchula, FL 33873 at 8am. We will then drive down to the river.
- The April outing is Gold Prospecting in Dahlonega, GA - Juniper Creek. There is a sighup sheet, please sign up if you plan on attending.

• OLD BUSINESS.
- The March Outing was Fossil Hunting at Peace River in Wauchula on March 18th. The weather was great, the water was warm and shallow. Even though they didn’t find much, everyone had a great time. Highly recommended to join the outing next time.
- Terry is still looking into renting the Pavilion or a room at the library for the Christmas Party. We are also looking into other facilities as well. Anne W. is looking into venues as well.
- The April Outing is Gold Prospecting in Dahlonega, GA – Juniper Creek. The dates have been moved back to April 26th through the 30th. Lou V. was able to find two larger sites at the Loud Mine campground with water and power. He reserved the two larger sites which should be large enough to accommodate all three campers. There’s a signup sheet, please sign up if you plan on attending.
- The May Outing is Gold Prospecting at Lucky Strike Campground in North Carolina May 18th through the 21st. Steve K. contacted Lucky Strike and they said there were several sites available with full hookups. The monthly rate is $ 450.00 a month for full hookups. Extra for electricity at the monthly rate. Lucky Strike has the common digs (with the plant) on the first week of each month through the summer. Steve M. will call and reserve three sites for the outing in May.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- It was voted on to have a potluck for all future meetings.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, May 13th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812. This is a potluck.

• OLD BUSINESS.
- April 13-16 – Gold Prospecting in Dahlonega, GA – Juniper Creek. Lou provided the update on the trip, the camp was okay, it was wet and rainy. There wasn’t much gold this trip.
- Terry is still looking into renting the Pavilion or a room at the Library for the Christmas Party. We are also looking into other facilities as well. Anne W. looked into the Eagles for December 9th, there wasn’t anything available that day. Terry to contact Steve M. for the Contact Information for the Library. Cindy gave Terry the information on reserving the Pavilion at Warren Park for the Christmas Party on December 9th.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- The May Outing is Gold Prospecting at Lucky Strike Campground in North Carolina May 18th through the 21st. There’s a signup sheet, please sign up if you plan on attending.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, June 10th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812. This is a potluck.
- Metal Detecting for June was discussed, the majority stated that they would like to do Metal Detecting on the East Coast. To be decided at the June meeting.

• OLD BUSINESS.
- May 18-21 - Gold Prospecting at Lucky Strike Campground, Marion, NC. Good times were had by all attendees. Gold prospecting seemed to be good.
- Christmas Party Venue – Mike B. was able to reserve the Pavilion at Warren Park for December 9th for the Christmas Party.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- The next outing is on June 16th – Metal Detecting at Crescent Beach Park, St. Augustine. The address is 6930 A1A S., St. Augustine, FL 32080. We will be meeting at 9:00 am. The parking lot fills up quickly. There’s a signup sheet, please sign up if you plan on attending.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, July 8th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812 at 10 am. This meeting is a Potluck.
- There are no outings scheduled for July or August.
- Terry B. resigned as Vice President of the Club; the position is open. Please let us know if someone would like to step up.

- Metal Detecting at Crescent Beach, St. Augustine, FL. Bob G. was the only one to go. He did find a few more items than we normally do. Some change, a ring, bottle caps and a couple of other items. They have parking and a couple of pavilions along with a restaurant close by. Bob G. talked about the area and his experience.
• NEW BUSINESS.
- A Flag Burning ceremony will be held in the future.
- The next meeting is on Saturday, Aug. 12th at Warren Park, 3406 Warren Park Road, Belle Isle, FL 32812 at 10 am. This meeting is a Potluck.

- Gift Exchange - Please bring a gift related to Mining, ($20 is the limit) for the Christmas Party.

- If you have a worn flag, please take it to the American Legion in your area, and they will dispose of it properly.
