Ken and Janice - Cotton Patch Mine, NC '09.
Ken and Janice took a month long trip this past August traveling the country, witnessing
the birth of their grandchild, and doing a bit of prospecting.
The last few days of the trip included stopping at the Cotton Patch Mine the Thrusday before they met fellow members at the Gold Show.
Here are some photos they would like to share.

Cotton Patch's welcome sign

A patch of cotton just across the street.

1/4 load of dirt to go through.

Setting up the sluice.
Ken says it took them about 5 hours to 1/2 inch classify and run the 1/4 load. The mixture was a bit wet, so the rocks needed to be washed off. Can't loose any flakes to that mud.

Looks to be running perfect.

Ken feeding the screens paydirt.

Janice working classifiers.

Nothing better than Gold on the matt.

One of the cabins on the property you can rent.

Nice amount of fines and small pickers.
This day was well worth the effort as they took home almost a quarter of an ounce.
