Plenty of areas for camping and RV's.  With a clubhouse and bathhouse on site one doesn't really rough it here.

Our Chapter has been on an Outing to Vien Mtn. in 2011.   Bob went to a GPAA Gold Outing in 2010.

Vien Mountain is one place whare There is multi-colored gold.  Nice shiny Gold, discolored gold, and gold coated with mercury will be found here, as just north of the creek at one time sat a processing plant.

When visiting do not hesitate to head over to Marion, just north of the Interstate on 221, as it's the closest town which will meet anyone needs.  Fast food, department stores, theaters, etc. will be found there when you need a bit of resupplying or a break from mining.

As the GPAA main site says; "This 130 acre private property is located in one of the richest gold bearing areas of the eastern gold belt. Gold ranges from fine to flake and is plentiful. Historical reports give the property a good potential for large nuggets. There is a full time caretaker on-site. The camp has a restroom, shower, dump station, limited electric hook-ups and a well."
