Lucky Strike, Oct '18, Highbanking in North Carolina.
This October Chapter Members decided to do some highbanking at Lucky Strike in North Carolina.
There were 10 members who were able to attend. We had three RV's and the others stayed in cabins or
local motels. Every one joined in the dig and, for a change, the gold was of a nice size flat flakes
instead of ultra fine. Steve did the food again and no one was hungry, especially after Saturdays night's
bring your own steak dinner. Weather was cool in the mornings but warmed up as the sun rose. This is
an outing we have done in the past and should probably continue to do in the future. The outing was held
over Friday and Saturday where members used their own Highbankers. Two full days of running paydirt was
rewarded with a bit of "Yella Gold".
